Owls Wrap Up Preseason with Strong Showing Against Vikings
The Uni-Norths Owls capped off their 2025 preseason with a full club trial day against Tuggeranong Vikings last Saturday, setting the tone ahead of Round 1. Played across multiple grades at Viking Park, it was a valuable final hit-out for all teams before the real action kicks off.
In a packed day of rugby, the Owls fielded sides in 1st Grade, Women’s XV, 2nd Grade, Colts, and a combined 3rd/4th Grade match. Each fixture offered a chance to fine-tune combinations, put preseason structures into practice, and build momentum heading into the season proper.
1st Grade delivered a strong performance, showing sharp attacking intent and solid defensive shape against a quality Vikings outfit. The Women’s XV also impressed, matching physicality with skill and demonstrating excellent team cohesion.
2nd Grade and Colts used the opportunity to showcase depth and talent across both squads, with plenty of standout efforts across each match. The combined 3rd/4th Grade team brought plenty of energy and grit to their contest, rounding out a competitive day of footy.
With a successful preseason now in the books, the Owls turn their full attention to Round 1 this weekend. Confidence is high across the grades as the club looks to launch into the 2025 season with momentum and belief.
