The Uni-Norths Owls Rugby Club is proud to announce Maddie Gogala and Oliver Wheatley as our Club Captains for the 2026/2027 seasons.

Following a hugely successful year for the Owls, Maddie and Oliver take over the leadership reins from Emerina “Bubba” Marsh and Jordan Thompson, whose dedication and commitment have helped drive the club forward both on and off the field.

The appointment reflects not only the growth of the playing group, but the continued strength of the Owls culture, one built on leadership, accountability and pride in the blue and gold.

Maddie expressed her excitement about stepping into the role:

“After the great Owls success of last season, it’s an honour to be named club captain for the upcoming season! I’m proud of what this club has achieved over the years and am looking forward to seeing that momentum build from a new perspective! As always up the Owls HOOT HOOT.”

Oliver echoed that sentiment as he prepares to lead alongside her:

“Honoured to be passed the baton of club captain for the 26/27 seasons! Looking forward to another big year for the Owls and hopefully adding some more silverware to the trophy cabinet.”

With strong foundations laid and momentum building across all grades, the Owls head into 2026 with confidence and ambition. The club thanks Emerina and Jordan for their leadership and looks forward to seeing Maddie and Oliver guide the next chapter of Owls success.
