In a powerful moment of cultural recognition and connection, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese presented a Uni-Norths Owls Pasifika jersey to Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka during the Wallabies vs Fiji Test match on Sunday at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle. The match was played for the Vuvale Bowl, a symbol of the close relationship between Australia and Fiji, and the jersey presentation served as an emotional nod to that shared history.
