In a thrilling encounter under lights at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, the Australian Barbarians went down 43–31 to a sharp and physical Japan A side on Saturday night. The match was packed with highlights, as both teams delivered an entertaining brand of rugby in front of a passionate crowd.
The Uni-Norths Owls were proudly represented, with Sam Mickelson crossing for a try and teammates Liae Tuilagi and Te Huia Kutia also featuring in the BaaBaas lineup. Mickelson’s finish came after a well-worked attacking sequence, showcasing the explosive running that’s become a hallmark of his game.
