Owls 2025 Bowls Day: Sunshine, Laughter, and Community Spirit

The Uni-Norths Owls 2025 Bowls Day delivered a perfect blend of sport, camaraderie, and sunshine at The RUC in Turner on Saturday. With the weather putting on its best show, players, staff, supporters, and friends turned out in force to enjoy an afternoon of lawn bowls, refreshing drinks, and friendly competition. The greens buzzed with activity as teams rolled their way through casual and competitive matches. ANU Market Days 2024

A big thank you to all of our Owls who gave of their time these past few weeks to attend the University Market Days for ANU and Canberra University.These events are a great chance to welcome new and existing university students into the Owls community and with the help of a few legend voluteers both days were a great success. The Owls received an impressive level of interest from the event attendees, taking over 90 applications.Our thanks again goes to the guys and girls that helped out. Community Connections through Community Rugby

Community Connections through Community Rugby Local ACT Rugby club to raise funds for Youth and Young Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Owls Rugby (ACT) will conduct a major fundraising effort at its home game against Royals on Saturday, 29 July, at ANU North Oval in Turner.  The funds raised will contribute to Mental Health and Wellbeing programs supporting the Canberra region’s youth and young adults. Owls Rugby aims to leverage the goodwill from last year when it raised an incredible $40,000 for the village of Kanokupolu, which was destroyed by the Tsunami on January 2022. We Happy Few Wines

A Generous Donation We Happy Few Wines was founded in 2014 by a small group of veteran mates. Since then, we have been hand making cool climate wines in Murrumbateman, part of the Canberra District wine region. We source the best possible grapes from the ACT and SNSW wine regions to make our wines. Lachy Fryer (or Tuck as he is affectionately known) is a partner in We Happy Few and has generously supplied the OWLS  plenty of their wonderful red wine. OVEMBER Axel an OWLS Life Member and immediate past President is growing a moustache for Movember. With just 8 days to go his goal of $4,000 is in reach.
