Uni-Norths Owls would like to congratulate these players on their milestone achievements today. Jordan Thompson on 150 club games and Ignacio Bonsembiante on 50 1st Grade games. 

There’s often one or if you’re lucky, two people in a rugby club who epitomise what our game is about & JT is that and more from a Uni Norths Owls perspective. From a Colt in 2014, to 1st Grade Captain in 2022, and now Club Captain in 2025, it’s been a pleasure to share the field with JT & now work alongside him as a coach.

 

His game understanding and communication is of an elite level and we look forward to putting in a performance he’ll be proud of today for his 150th Club Game. I dare say there’s another major milestone around the corner and for the ultimate club man, we thank him for everything he does for our club.

From a little country boy from Young that come down to Canberra to play here after school, it’s been an absolute pleasure playing alongside you from our colts years and through the grades together but for you to bring up 50 first grade caps brings a tear to my eye.

 

It’s been a pleasure watching you build your craft over these years to lead to 50 first grade games. Your passion, commitment and sometimes dumb decisions have made you a key player in the first grade team. Great having you back this year after a year out with injury and can’t wait to see what you do this year.

 

Congratulations Iggy, let’s hope for 50 more after this game and hopefully the next 50 help grow your eyebrows.
