Owls Performance Squad 2025 Camp

Our Owls Performance Squad Camp took to a new venue for 2025, trading the home of the Jindabyne Bush Pigs to the south coast of Shoalhaven Rugby Club. The origins of the camp were born in the 2020 JIDC season where former ACT Brumbies flanker, Will Miller donned the Owls Jersey with current coach Lachlan Creighton

40 players and 6 staff spent two nights and three days together to further build on the foundation of preseason training. Rolling out swags and mattresses in the club house, cooking and cleaning for one another, on field training, beach combat, social connection, and a dairy farm experience were within the weekends schedule.

“There’s no secret sauce to what we’re doing, but it’s about us, this group of young men, and our coaching and management staff building our connections on all fronts in a new environment. It was special to be able to connect with Will in his rugby club who’re currently on a 40+ game winning streak and see the value in being apart of something bigger than yourself and there’s no greater example than that of being a Dairy Farmer. Lessons on field, in the kitchen, on the sand, at the dairy farm and plenty of laughs to finish off, because if you’re not enjoying it, why are you doing it!” says Creighton.

We are looking forward to seeing what the 2025 season brings the squad.
