Bubba’s story is one that spans decades of family history. Following in the footsteps of her mum and her aunties, Bubba graced us with her presence in 2020. She fooled us all in that first year. She was quiet and soft spoken, staying mostly in the background until we all let our walls down and Bubba the wrecking ball catapulted into our lives.

To know Bubba is to know no peace, but we are all the better for having her in our lives. You might know her by her slick hands that led to our 2023 grand final match winning try, or by her unmatched ability to steer the girls around the park, but most people will remember Bubba for her off field presence. She welcomes everyone with open arms and a big heart, she leads the charge of every party, and most of all she is the most fiercely loyal person when it comes to that Owl on her chest. She might not know your name on the first go, but she’ll go to bat for anyone and everyone in her Owls family – that’s just the kind of person she is.

We’re so proud of her achievements – donning the Owls jersey, getting her Brumbies Super W cap, current Owls club captain, to now 50 1st Grade games. It’s taken her 5 years to get here, and we hope she stays for 50 more because the club will only get better with her in it. We’re so proud of you sissy, and proud to be your home away from home.

Love Emma Ganley, Iris Verebalavu, Holly George and Meilani Whittle
