2025 Owls Registration

Registrations are now open for 2025 players and volunteers. Registering gives you insurance cover for injury through Rugby Australia at season games, trail matches, training and the gym or as a volunteer working in the canteen or running a training drill. If you are not registered you are not insured. The player fee is $424. Please note that Rugby Xplorer provides the option of paying the fee by instalments. Community rugby union in Canberra provides a solution to rugby’s woes at the elite level

Rugby in Australia is going through the worst period I can remember since I began commentating on the sport over 30 years ago. There is discord on a number of fronts. This includes the Wallaroos’ understandable plea for parity, the poor crowds for Super Rugby, the Wallabies’ losing five games in a row, and Rugby Australia seeking to centralise the Super Rugby system. Grand Final Weekend is here

Wow, what a season it's been for the Owls. Eight teams (and enough players for a 6th grade side a couple of times), seven of them in the finals, and two of them move forward to the Grand Finals this weekend. Congratulations to all players on a great season and especially to Women's XV and 3rd grade Womens 10s, 4th grade, Colts and 5ths all made the preliminary finals and 2nds the semis.
