Nobody would’ve thought that the quiet girl that arrived on the scene in 2022 and started as a flanker would actually slot into a position most known for being a loud pest. Flash forward to a year later and Holly George has that 9 on her back playing an instrumental role in a premiership winning match, after taking to halfback like a duck to water.

Holly isn’t like most halfbacks. She doesn’t come with the usual side order of chaos and gets her forwards around the park without the GST. She brings all the magic – crisp service, sharp decision-making, and an uncanny ability to be exactly where she needs to be.

When she’s not in the studio making hit songs or breaking out her random krumping skills, Holly is with us making us all glad we’re with her and not against her. Holly is dependable, selfless, quietly brilliant and the funniest person in the room. She’s a safe pair of hands in attack and sturdy shoulders in defence. No matter if she’s been deep in the bush raving until 5am, she’ll still rock up to the game with a sharp pass, solid cover tackle and plans to dart off the ruck. Holly is the ultimate team player, and we’re so lucky to have her. Here’s to Holly, and here’s to 50 more games alongside her.
