Owls Soar into Super Rugby: Six Named in 2025 Brumbies Squad

The Brumbies have unveiled their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific squad, and it’s a proud day for the Uni-Norths Owls with six of our own earning selection among Australia’s most exciting rugby talent.

Tauti Chan-Tung, Harvey Cordukes, Tobias MacPherson, Christopher Mickelson, Rhys van Nek and Ollie Sapsford have all been named in the 38-man squad, joining a formidable Brumbies lineup blending international experience with homegrown promise.

For Tauti Chan-Tung and Harvey Cordukes, the call-up caps off a breakout year in club rugby, where both players consistently impressed with their physicality and work rate. Tobias MacPherson’s steady progression continues after a standout John I Dent Cup campaign, while Christopher Mickelson’s dynamic performances have seen him rewarded with a shot at the next level.

Experienced front-rower Rhys van Nek and versatile back Ollie Sapsford round out the Owls contingent, both returning to the Brumbies setup after proving their class in Super Rugby last season.

Brumbies head coach, Stephen Larkham, has opted for a balanced squad, combining Wallabies stars with emerging local talent and the strong Owls presence highlights the quality of development pathways flowing through our club and into the professional arena.

The Brumbies will open their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific campaign in February, and we can’t wait to see our Owls boys representing the navy and gold on the big stage.

Congratulations, Tauti, Harvey, Tobias, Christopher, Rhys and Ollie, your club is behind you all the way!
