Owls Meilani Whittle Elected to ANU Sport Board
Uni-Norths Owls is proud to congratulate long-time club member, former Club Captain, and women’s player Meilani Whittle (née Salale) on her election to the ANU Sport Board for 2025.
Lani has been a cornerstone of the Owls community for years—leading from the front on and off the field. As a former Club Captain, her commitment to inclusivity, teamwork, and growth has left a lasting impact on players and supporters alike.
Now, Lani takes her passion for sport and community to a new level, joining the ANU Sport Board to help shape the future of university sport across all clubs and disciplines.
Nominee Statement:
“As a dedicated member of Uni-Norths Owls Rugby Union Club, I am passionate about contributing to ANU Sport’s ongoing success. My interest in becoming a Director stems from a desire to enhance the functionality of its clubs and affiliations, fostering collaboration and growth among them. By joining the board, I hope to bring fresh perspectives and actively support initiatives that create enriching experiences for athletes, staff, and stakeholders. My motivation lies in strengthening ANU Sport’s role as a hub of excellence and community spirit.”
Lani’s election is a proud moment not only for ANU but for the entire Owls family. Her leadership, integrity, and genuine care for the sporting community make her an ideal representative to help drive meaningful progress at ANU Sport.
