The Uni-Norths Owls Premier Women’s side delivered a commanding performance at ANU North Oval on Saturday, defeating the Canberra Royals 49–7 in Round 11 of the Bentspoke Premier 15s. The match was played as part of the club’s annual Pasifika Day, a celebration of the cultures, families and communities that form the heart of the Owls. Fittingly, the team wore their special Owls Pasifika jerseys, and the day also marked Emerina Marsh-Kiro’s 50th Premier Grade game for the club. After three weeks off due to a bye and wet weather cancellations, the Uni-Norths Owls Premier 15s returned to The Barn in Round 8 to take on the undefeated Wests Lions. In a physical and fast-paced contest, the Owls showed determination throughout but were ultimately outpaced by the visitors, going down 29–19. Wests struck early, crossing in the opening minute through Madi Barclay-George and adding the conversion via Jasmin Huriwai to take a 7–0 lead.
