17 April 1945 - 12 October 2025 Peter Catling grew up in Albury going to Albury Grammar School where he excelled at athletics and played "Aussie Rules" and only commenced playing Rugby at Wagga Ag College where he graduated after 3 years with a Diploma in Agriculture.  After a couple of years working at CSIRO he decided to enhance his qualifications by commencing a Science course at ANU, working part time cleaning bus shelters amongst other jobs.  Once completed he returned to CSIRO as a research scientist in CSIRO Wildlife initially working on Dingos and later Bush Fire recovery. Registrations are now open for 2026 players and volunteers. Registering gives you insurance cover for injury through Rugby Australia at season games, trail matches, training and the gym or as a volunteer working in the canteen or running a training drill. If you are not registered you are not insured. The player fee is $438. Please note that Rugby Xplorer provides the option of paying the fee by instalments.
