Today we see a long-time owl raise the bat.
Since 2015 Patty has been a crucial member of the club. Directing the 2nd grade squad for many years from halfback until recently finding his way to fullback.
Patty is consistently one of the hardest workers on the field and fights well above his weight. His ability to bring down anyone who tries to get past him and how he finds those gaps in play before they even appear.
It is a pleasure to watch this bloke play rugby. After a few seasons up and down with Injury it’s great to see this legend reach such a massive milestone.
Congratulations Patty on such a massive achievement!
The road to 50 games is unique for every individual & none more so than Issy Vaili.
An Owls Junior who began his playing career at the heights he’s currently experiencing, hasn’t had the easiest of paths, but the extensive injuries & life challenges he’s overcome to reconnect with his love of rugby are to be commended.
The softly spoken, unassuming young man has found his home in the top grade, with his tackle busting & finishing ability rivalling all in the JIDC.
At 22 years of age, the next milestone we’ll be celebrating is 50 1st Grade Caps and myself and the club can’t wait for that special moment.
All the best Bizza, tomorrow is your day. 🤝🏼
