Uni-Norths Owls congratulates Meilani Salale for the impressive milestone of reaching 50 1st grade games for her club. To mark the occcasion are a few words from teammates Emerina Marsh and Emma Ganley:
Meilani (thinks she’s a back) Salale joined the owls women way back in 2018 and blessed us ALL with her big mouth and even bigger heart. With two premierships, club AND team captaincy under her belt, there’s no one quite like her.
Leading us on and off the park, showing off her skills good enough to land her as our second string drop kicker, knees that are about 70 years old and always ready to back up her girls on the field – we are so lucky to call her our Captain 🫶
What Lani has done for this club does not go unnoticed. 50 first grade caps – just another achievement to add to the list.
